Category: Lalande de Pomerol

The Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation is located in the Bordeaux wine region, and more precisely on the right bank of the Dordogne River, just north of the Pomerol appellation. Although it is less prestigious than its famous neighbour, Lalande-de-Pomerol produces high-quality wines, often more affordable, with characteristics that are close to those of Pomerol.

As with Pomerol, the dominant grape variety in Lalande-de-Pomerol is Merlot, which often makes up the bulk of the blends (about 70 to 80%). Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are also used, bringing structure and complexity to the wines.
