The Clos de la Treille Niarfeix is located on a clay-gravelly terroir with a grape variety composed of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The noble association of the three grape varieties gives this wine all its typicity. Wine with a shimmering and intense ruby color, ranging from a bluish black color to an aubergine hue with purple reflections.
The terroir
Located from the top of these 5 hectares north of the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, the Clos de La Treille Niarfeix is made on clay soil. The subsoil has significant traces of iron oxide called “iron grime” as well as hardened and reddened decalcified deposits of quartz, flint and granite.

62% Merlot – 37% Cabernet Franc – 1% Cabernet Sauvignon
On the nose : The wine expresses a superb finesse that combines with as much elegance. Under lightly toasted aromas you will find notes of blackcurrant, blackberries and blueberries. Then come thirst-quenching aromas of mint and liquorice, all on an omnipresent note of flowers, rose, violet.
Palate
The attack is supple, round and above all based on a velvety and fruity substance. Then the wine moves towards a fine and still tight structure. We find all the fruity flavors that we had on the nose with the return of spices, mint and liquorice.
Food and wine pairing
The Clos de La Treille Niarfeix – Lalande-de-Pomerol goes perfectly with all charcuterie dishes, as well as grilled meats, or barbecue grills.
